S’more Pops
S’mores Pops are super easy to make and the kids loved them. We love experimenting with snacks, especially when it involves chocolate. Plus, I had a coupon for the stuffed marshmallows! I would also suggest using bigger sticks. We used toothpicks because the box of popsicle sticks magically disappeared. Toothpicks got the job done, but it was a little messy.Β
What you’ll need
- Marshmallows
- Graham Crackers
- Chocolate Chips
- Toothpicks or lollipop sticks
- Bowl for melting chocolate
- Plastic cups or wax paper
If you are going to use plastic cups to help with drying, I recommend getting those ready first. Flip the cups upside down and poke a few holes in the bottom of each cup, big enough to put the sticks into. Wax paper also works well for drying, and makes the cleanup process a little quicker.
- Carefully poke a stick into the center of each marshmallow. If you are using toothpicks, prepare for a laugh. The Marshmallows spin on the toothpicks while trying to roll them into the chocolate and graham crackers.
- We crushed the graham crackers in the bag they came in. You could also put a few graham crackers into a ziplog bag to smash them, but we are always looking for ways to reduce waste. If you are going to crush them in the original bag, make sure to do it slowly. The bags are not very strong and will bust if you try to work to quickly. Graham cracker dust is hard to sweep up.
- To melt the chocolate chips, heat them in the microwave for approximately 20 second. Remove and stir. Repeat process until chocolate is smooth. ( ** never microwave the chocolate chips for more than 20 seconds at a time, it WILL burn.)
- Working quickly, dip and swirl each marshmallow into the melted chocolate chips. Then roll the chocolate covered marshmallows into the graham cracker crumbs. Place the S’mores Pops into your plastic cups or onto your wax paper to dry.
We made these today π They were delicious!
